Hi Everyone!
Lexi had a bunch of x-rays taken today, and it turns out that the two ends of the tibia still have not bridged together. Dr. Standard told us the best approach is to do a bone graft to help things along. So....Lexi is having surgery on Friday. Dr. Standard will take a small piece of bone from Lexi's hip, and cover the gap in her tibia. He is also going to check the pins to see if any are loose, internally. If everything goes well with the bone graft, then Lexi will continue to wear the fixator for approx. 6 more weeks, and then finally.....the cast!
