Hey Everyone,
We had a great appointment today!!! It has been 2 months since Lexi had her fixator put on, and wow, she's doing great! Dr. Standard said that she has gained a total of 2 inches in length, and we've reached our goal for this lengthening surgery. So, tomorrow is Lexi's first day in the bone consolidation phase. She will continue to wear her fixator for up to 3 more months, depending on how quickly it takes for her bone to harden.
Lexi will have x-rays taken in 4 weeks, back home, and we'll send them out to Dr. Standard for him to look over. If things go well, we might not have to travel back to Baltimore until Lexi's fixator removal!
